Hardware accelerators in Simulation mode

Hi all,

I m very new to DSP programming stuffs. I tried learning to do some small programs and running it in simulation mode. Right now i saw the IIR accelerator implementation in Talkthrough. I tried running it in the simulation mode. But i m running into problems as this code is written for EasyKit (i may be wrong though). Here is the code of Main()

Setup_ADSP21469();

    //Initialize PLL and DDR2DRAM Controller

    initPLL();

    initDDR2DRAM();

    //Initialize SRU connections

    InitDAI();

    //Initialize AD1939 via SPI

    Init1939viaSPI();

    //Initialize SPORTs to send/receive data to/from AD1939

    InitSPORT();

    //Unmask and map SPORT RX interruput

    interrupts(SIG_SP1, SP1_ISR);

    for (;;)

    {

        //Wait till next block of data received

        while(data_ready==0);

        data_ready=0;

        //Process the data received

        process_AD1939_samples();

    }

Could someone be kind enough to help me to understand the Init functions. I can modify the later part of the code where it is waiting for Process the data. What should i modify the code to run it in simulation mode?

Kind regards Shiva
