I am run Windows XP, using both CCES 184.108.40.206 and VisualDSP5.0 update 10.
Trying to debug BF60x ezboard with ADZS-SADA2-BRD, but found neither VisualDSP nor CCES provide the driver.
Please help on where to get the driver.
Thanks for the information. Can I just check that your EZ-KIT has power applied to it, the PWR LED is lit and that the SADA2 board is connected to your board and the Power and Monitor LEDs are both lit - please note that th LEDs on the SADA board will only be lit once the USB cable is attached to it and the driver for the board has been succesfully installed.
Can you check your computers Device Manager. Under the 'ADI Development Tools' heading your EZ-KIT, if properly installed, should be displayed as 'ADSP-BF609 EZ-KIT Lite'. If listed, double-click on your EZ-KIT to show the driver properties and ensure there are no issues listed. If there are please take a note of them along with the driver version number installed and send these details to us.
I have moved this from the ADSP-BF60x community to the Hardware Tools community. Please continue the discussion here.
Firstly, please note that the ADZS-BF609 EZ-Kit is compatible with CrossCore® Embedded Studio development tools only, it is not supported in VisualDSP++.
Have you ever been able to connect to your ADZS-BF609 EZ-Kit using the ADZS-SADA2-BRD in CrossCore® Embedded Studio or is this the first time you have attempted to connect to it?
Please can you check your computer’s ‘Device Manager'. If installed correctly you should find your EZ-Kit listed under 'ADI Development tools' as 'ADSP-BF609 EZ-KIT Lite' If listed, double-click on your emulator to show the driver properties and ensure there are no issues listed. If there are please take a note of them along with the driver version number installed and send these details to us.
If your EZ-KIt is not listed or you are having problems with the drivers, you should try reinstalling the drivers. The EZ-KIT driver (WmUsbIce.sys) may be found in the “Setup” directory in the top directory of the CrossCore® Embedded Studio installation. By default this is located at the following paths:
C:\Analog Devices\CrossCore Embedded Studio 1.0.0\Setup\Emu_Drivers\WmUsbIce
If you are still having problems installing the EZ-Kit would you be ale to provide details of your board revision, BOM and silicon revision. The board revision is typically silk screened on the front of the board, while the BOM revision is a sticky label on the back of the board. The silicon revision is printed directly on the processor
Lastly, can you confirm which version of CCES are you using? This information is available by selecting 'About CrossCore Embedded Studio' from the Help menu.
Further information on the board can be found in the following FAQ: FAQ: Where can I find more information on the ADSP-BF609 EZ-KIT Lite/EZ-Board
CCES is 1.0.0, installed the patch 1.0.1.
SADA2 is 1.0
ADZS-BF609-EZ-BRD is 1.0
First time to connect CCES to BF609 EZBRD.
In windowXP, ever tried to specify the WmUsbIce.sys during driver installation, but result "cannot install this hardware".
Can one SADA2 board be used with any BF609 EZ-BRDs other than the original one shipped in the EZLITE sample kit?
Where to find the documation of SADA2 debug agent? there is a jp on the board, what is the configuation I should set.
Can you contact Private Support on email@example.com, providing the full Product Version number which should look something like this: Product version: 220.127.116.11 (w12003231), as well as the Serial Number of your ADZS-BF609-EZ-BRD and SADA2 board? The serial number is a 6 digit number located on the underside of the EZ-BRD and the topside of the SADA2 board.
Please also include a link to this thread when you contact private support.
