MEMS sensor for Loudspeaker Calibration

AD is going big on MEMS these days.

It is possible to physically attach MEMS sensor on the loudspeaker cones and convey the vibrations of a test signal like pink noise back to the processor like SigmaDSP to get the electronics signal chain + loudspeaker calibrated.

This info can then be used to create an anti-graph so as to get a flat response.

 

This can be a good calibration method even if it does not include room acoustics.

Does AD have any plan to implement this?

 

Note: This is not my idea. ST Micro has something similar for their STA321MP and I hope that they do not have a patent on this.
