I plan to put two port Ethernet switch on our BF547 based system.
It mast be a switch with asynchronous memory interface as we don't have MAC/MII on BF547
As suitable candidates I think are SMSC LAN9311 and Micrel KS8842m
The SMSC chip seems more popular but the provided drivers from the SMSC site
seems tailored to the SH3 architecture and no general driver available in the linux tree.
KS8842 seems to me as older more rare chip with support in Linux.
Has anyone worked with a managed/un-managed Ethernet switch with blackfin and uClinux.
