Hi,

I am using 2011R1-RC3 distro built with 2011R1-RC4 toolchain. The distro was booted on a ADSP BF527 based TLL6527M platform

I have a stereo signal with two distinctively different signals on both channels.

I tried to record this stereo signal from Line In using arecord. But even though arecord was initialized for mono signal, it still captured both the channels.

I did the following steps :

root:/home> arecord -c 1 -r 48000 -f S16_LE -d 5 -t raw sample.dat

Recording raw data 'sample.dat' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 48000 Hz, Mono

root:/home> aplay -c 1 -r 48000 -f S16_LE -d 5 -t raw sample.dat

Playing raw data 'sample.dat' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 48000 Hz, Mono

root:/home>

I could hear both the channels when I played back sample.dat

I transferred the sample.dat file to my Desktop, and played it back again to make sure that the situation arose during signal recording.

What might be the issue ?

Regards,

Shekhar
