I try to use the 2nd UART (uart1 connector) on my Stamp BF537 -board. I recompiled the kernel for ttyBF1. The char - device exist in /dev/ttyBF1 as well as /dev/ttyBF0

And now I would expect to get something out of the uart1 tx pin while sending some char's

fd = open("/dev/ttyBF", O_RDWR | O_NOCTTY | O_NDELAY);

int send2tty(int fd, char *send_bytes)

    write(fd, send_bytes, sizeof(send_bytes));  //Send data

    //printf("Wrote the bytes. \n");

    return 0;

port is open and flow control is off

$ echo test >/dev/ttyBF1

doesn't work, nothing coming out of uart1

could somebody tell me what I missed or didn't understand (ttyBF1 =>uart1 ???)

thanks in advance
