ADF4351 operational tell-tale signs

Hi, I have recently designed a board that has the ADF4351 on it and have written some software that allows me to write the register values over the serial bus. However, I wrote all of the 6 registers (in the correct initialisation sequence) as well as ensuring chip enable, output mute were all at the correct logic etc, but I don't get even a sine wave of any frequency on the output, it is just pulled up through the inductor. Therefore I was wondering whether there is a single bit within any of the registers that I could write to and then by checking voltage levels or signals on the device could determine whether that bit has correctly been written to i.e. any tell-tale signs that the chip can indeed receive my instructions
