I need to have just a little more than +5 volts on the isolated side of the ADuM5000. This to incorporated
a LDO regulator.
Can I employ the PWM signal line in some way to obtain +5.3V to +5.5 V at the output?
Dwight: I don't know of a way to get at the PWM signal on the secondary side, since this is internal to the ADuM5000. The primary side control RCin can't be safely be tied high to get more output voltage in slave mode (RCsel = 0V) without the risk of over voltage on VISO which can damage the ADuM5000.
There is a new DC-to-DC controller, the ADuM3070, which has an output feedback pin available to be used with a resistor divider and VISO could be set as high as 5.5V. The ADuM3070 uses an external transformer which is part of an available reference design shown on the datasheet along with datasheet curves which include 80% efficiency, which is much higher than can be obtained with the ADuM5000 with the internal transformer.
