Dear support team,
SigmaStudio(3.6.2 latest version) wrote 0x00,0x08 data to 0x081D register.
But datasheet said that this register is reserved.
Should we write it to this address or should not?
This register is used to control the data RAM boundary between non-modulo data RAM and modulo data RAM. It has a very similar function to Address 0xE21F (Modulo Data Memory Register) in the ADAU144x family of SigmaDSPs. The power-on value is 0x08 and the default value downloaded by SigmaStudio is also 0x08. So, this register should always be 0x08. SigmaDSP users should not overwrite this register.
The register does not appear in the datasheet because it never needs to be updated by the user.
I have contacted the design team to get clarification about this. I will respond when they have given me the information.
The power-on value of that register is 0x08, which matches the value written by SigmaStudio, so I would recommend that you do not change that value.
