BF592 EZ-Kit

In the schematics for the EZ-Kit the JTAG interface connects to a block called DEBUG_AGENT, I understand that the USB interface is not published. I plan to use the same EEPROM on the same SPI port and would like to use the flash programmer from the gnu tools (uses the BF592EzFlashDriver_M25P16.dxe from the visual dsp tool) to program the flash on board through JTAG, would the circuit from figure 6 in EE-68 allow this? Basically trying to use the BF592EzFlashDriver_M25P16.dxe rather than have to write a driver to program the eeprom.
