Newbie question I am afraid. Where in Sigma Studio can you see how much of the resources are taken as you create a project?
All SigmaDSPs will generate a project upon compilation that will tell you the usage statistics for each area of RAM.
To find this file, look in the directory where you saved the project file. Then you'll see a sub-folder called IC 1_projectname, and in there you'll find another sub-folder called net_list_out2. This folder contains a text document called compiler_output.txt that will give you the stats for resource usage.
For newer SigmaDSPs, like the ADAU144x, ADAU1761, and ADAU1781, you can view the compiler output from within SigmaStudio. Just open the Output window (accessed via View>Output or Control+4) and compile the project.
In both cases, a compile operation is required to update the resource information.
