Can I change the sample rate of the Analog Discovery Kit?
Yes. The system clock can be set to 25, 50, or 100MHz. This changes the sample rates of the ADC and DAC.
This is controlled in the advanced settings of Device Manager.
After the sample rate is set, the timebase in the different tools can be controlled independently. For the Scope tool, this can vary between 1hour per division, to 10ns/division.
I can't see that System frequency drop down list. (Rev. C of Discovery and Waveforms v2.1.3 WinXP).
I'll install the latest version and check it out when I get back to the office (on Monday).
I have checked this on an XP and Win7 computer. Neither show the System frequency box.
Dear Robin Sir,
i am undergraduate student of electronics engineering from India. i want to take the Analog Discovery Kit.
Please help me out how can i get this as i am unable to pay heavy amount.
Please reply me how students can take this kit in India.
Is there any promotional activities by Analog devices regarding this kit?
Please tell me i want this kit for my experiments.
The Analog Discovery Kit is available from Element 14 in India (Formerly Farnell).
Its currently available at http://in.element14.com/digilent/410-244/analog-discovery-design-kit/dp/2143587 although it appears they may be going to introduce education pricing - see this product http://in.element14.com/digilent/410-244e/design-kit-analog-discovery-edu/dp/2281593 I suggest you contact them for further details
I have the same Issue. I have the Analog Discovery Rev C and WaveForms v2.2.4 (the latest in the Digilent webpage). I cannot find any option to change the sampling frequency of the tool. I searched in the Device Manager> Show advanced features but nothing.
Also, I notice that at small time divisions in the scope (<= 100 ms/div) the scope tool stops getting data. You can change whatever in the input of the scope but the waveform in the screen is the same. It wont actualice until you change the time division to any value above 1s/div.
Any ideas about this two problems? Thanks
The software was updated, and this feature was removed. (sorry - but we don't control the software).
