We are working on a high speed ADC (AD9643-210EBZ). We need to interface it with a Xilinx spartan 6 FPGA DSP development board having a Low Pin Count (LPC) FMC connector. Thus, I would require an ADC FMC interposer card / connector. But, i came to know from this link http://www.analog.com/en/content/over_xilinx/fca.html that it will be available only in April, and I am unsure about its availability.
So, as a workaround, we thought of using the AD-DAC-FMC-ADP (http://www.analog.com/en/evaluation/ad-dac-fmc/eb.html) for ADC also as a workaround. We found that, electrically it is same as only signal routing is happening. Only the mechanical part is different (male - female). i.e. this DAC interposer card uses Z-PACK HM-Zd male connector which will get connected to the female in my DAC card. But, my ADC card is also has a male Z-PACK HM-Zd (10x2) connector. So, the only challenge would be to get the male female convertor.
Now, I have three questions
1. Could anybody (@Engineers in Analog) tell us when could the ADC-FMC interposer card be available exactly?
2. Does our conclusion of electrical equivalence between ADC-FMC interposer and DAC-FMC-ADP card correct (it seems so in layout, which is attached)
3. Could somebody tell us if we could get the male female converter for Z-PACK HM-Zd (10 x 2) connector somewhere.
