What are Pre-Setup and Pre-Access times.

Question asked by Nabeel Employee on Mar 27, 2012

Pre‐Setup Time is the number of cycles AMS is asserted before AOE is asserted, which otherwise is asserted along with AMS in the same clock cycle if Pre‐Setup time is set to zero. Pre‐Access Time is the number of cycles inserted after ADV is de‐asserted, before ARE is asserted for the next access.

Both Pre‐Setup Time and Pre‐Access Time can vary from 0-3 clock cycles and provide the additional flexibility in the control signal timing generated by SMC.
