I need to amplify a sinusoidal signal at 6.2MHz @ 250mV to sinusoidal signal +/-60V with around 1.5A output. Can anyone suggest a suitable power amplifier. Any advice on implementing such a circuit is welcome.
After some math, you can determine the minimum slew rate that you need:
SR = 2*pi*Fmax*Vpeak
So you need 4,674 Volts/us I think this is impossible.
We do a lot of precision op amps, and high speed (with a few volts swing into 50 ohm coax),
but not any high power op amps. There was one company years ago (Apex) that did make
some high voltage/high current op amps as hybrids with BeO substrates (dangerous to handle),
but they were over $50 and the market was very limited.
What are you really trying to do?
