How do I change project options, like compiler options, for example?
To change the build options for the Compiler, Assembler, Linker and Loader, as well as the project type, processor settings, and pre and post-build options do the following:
• Right click on your project in the Project Explorer view.• Select Properties from the popup menu.• Expand C/C++ Build.• Click on Settings.• Click on the Tool Settings tab and you should see the compiler option pages.
where to find the loader options?
Under 'Settings/Build Artifact' tab the option 'Loader File' can be selected at 'Artifact Type'. But there are no options like in VisualDSP++5.0:
Once you have selected 'Loader File' as the artefact, go back to the 'Tool Settings' tab, and you will see "CrossCore SHARC Loader" listed like below.
thanks, that helps.
But now i get this error while building the project:
The settings are taken from VisualDSP++ (2 posts above):
With HPUSB-ICE everything works fine, and creating and spi slave booting with ldr file with VisualDSP works fine too.
Can you try another project - perhaps just create a new project with template C code in it - and see if the behaviour is the same with the same project options? I tried with one of the examples from the 21469 Board Support Package, and there are no problems generating a file with these settings.
Can you also tell me which version of CCES you have installed? e.g. CCES 1.0.1.
For any others viewing this thread, there is an FAQ regarding the availability of the various Project Options tabs, here: FAQ: Configuring the Loader, Linker and Archiver settings within Project Properties
for another project with template C code it works. This test project was generated with CCES.
The other project was imported from a VisualDSP project. So the directory structure within project branch is different.
I tried to recreate my project based on a CCES template, it compiles dxe and ldr formats but it doesn't work on the DSP.
So my ldr problem seems to be related to project properties. So now something has to repaired in imported or recreated project...
Thanks for the update. Sounds like the behaviour is specific to your imported project, and we will have to take a look at that so we can reproduce it and investigate it further.
Could I ask you to contact private support through the link below, and include a link to this thread.
