SPI boot on BF531/2/3 processors

When doing an SPI boot from a memory device, if I Do Not include a code to setup the PF pins in the init code, the application is properly loaded on both silicon revisions 0.2 and 0.3 of the BF531.

 

If I include the code to setup the PF pins and set them, the application is properly loaded on silicon revision 0.2 but does not load on silicon revision 0.3. Why does this happen?
