Why have flread and cp.b been reverted with U-Boot 2011R1-RC5

I am using the BlueTechnix cm-bf537 module with Das U-Boot for the Blackfin processor.

The module contains 4 MiB of parallel Flash with a 2 MiB window at 0x20000000.

There is a driver that manages the flash so that upper banks can be accessed with one or more GPIO: gpio_cfi_flash.c

In the 2010 release, there was a command flread to read flash managed by this driver.

In the 2010 release, the command cp.b was able to write flash managed by this driver.

How can I get this functionality back and use the 2011R1 U-Boot with the 2011R1 toolchain and uClinux?
