Best way to write to register from userspace

What's the most easy way to write to a given register from userspace?

Eg. I want to write to the EVT0 register, at the end of my rc file. (I need to do this in order to reset my uboot boot limit counter.)

This is a very simple operation. Could look like something like:

bfin_write32(EVT0, 0);

Very simple. I only need to do it once. After boot.

I could ofc build the famous *EVT0 char driver*. But it seems to be a bit wasteful and troublesome.

Is there another way?
