I'm using BF533 to process audio signals. The data type I simulated in VC environment is short and int32. The accuracy is allright. After converting the code to VDSP and run it on board, I'm geting performance problems. I'm just wondering if the fract types provided by vdsp is better performanced, or I just keep using short16 and int32 because not having to change anything . For example, if two short types multiplies directly(b=a*c), does it cost more than one duty cycle? Does the mult_fr1x16 cost more than one duty cycle? How should I get better performance? Great thanks!
