Linking error on windows 7.

I have been developing a BF537 project for the past year on a Windows 7 64 bit laptop. I have had to move to a new laptop also running Windows 7 64 bit.

Now that I have Visual DSP++ up and running on the new laptop I get the following linking error when trying to build the project:

FATAL ERROR: exception 'class EWin32Exception' ()cc3089: fatal error: Link failed

Tool failed with exit/exception code: 1.

Build was unsuccessful.

The same code builds and links fine on the old laptop.

I'm using VisualDSP++ 5.0 Update 8 with Windows 7 Enterprise build 7601:service pack 1

Any idea's on what the problem could be?
