We are currently using the ADV7181C to decode a CVBS(NTSC) input and output 10 bit BT656 stream. Our customer has requested the ability to use either NTSC or PAL on the same CVBS input. I know the 7181C has autodetect for both NTSC or PAL inputs but what happens the output considering both the field size and frequency of the inputs are different on NTSC and PAL. Does the output configuration for 10 bit BT656 hold true irregardless of the input? In addition does the autodetect feature change the way the input is handled/processed or do registers require changing dependant on the input. Any other thoughts or observations on using NTSC or PAL inputs would be greatly appreciated. A point to note is we currently don't have a PAL input to test the current configuration to see how it handles it.
Thanks and Regards,
