how do I check hot plug detection for hdmi receiver on adv7611 device? the entire adv7611 data sheet doesn't talk about it.
Thanks in Advance,
Check CABLE_DET_A_ST IO, 0x70
I am reading 0 as value at this address. which is default value. what does it mean? is hot plug detected? what is interrupt register?
O implies the cable is not plugged in. Or the cable does not have DDC_5V on it or DDC_5V pin on the connector is not tied to the chip.
RXA_5V pin is tied to and interrupt so cable plug/unplug events can drive interrupts or be polled.
CABLE_DET_A_RAW(0x6F) is reading as 1 but CABLE_DET_A_ST IO, 0x70 is 0, what is difference between both?
_ST is the latched version of _RAW .
Latched status for Port A +5V cable detection interrupt signal. Once set this bit will remain high until the interrupt hasbeen cleared via CABLE_DET_A_CLR. This bit is only valid if enabled via corresponding the INT1 or INT2 interrupt mask bit0 - CABLE_DET_A_RAW has not changed. Interrupt has not been generated from this register.1 - CABLE_DET_A_RAW has changed. Interrupt has been generated from this register.
Unless you have mapped the bit to and interrupt then _ST is meaningless.
so if CABLE_DET_A_RAW(0x6F) is reading as 1 can we conclude that hot plug is detected?
