I'm trying to use AD7147 for hover sensing. I have already got it working.
Now I want to disable the auto calibration functionality on the chip. Is there a way to do so?
I first wanted to write directly to the PROXIMITY STATUS REGISTER to force all measurement to be proximity detected (no calibration will be performed in that case), but I found the PROXIMITY STATUS REGISTER is read only.
Another way that I'm thinking is to set the proximity detection threshold to be very low, so the chip will detect hover from miles away, avoiding auto calibration.
Any suggestions on how I might be able to totally disable the auto calibration?
