running code on an interrupt

I have created a Linux daemon that runs under Blackfin uClinux. How can I schedule a function to repeat every 200 ms on a precise timer. I want to avoid the following:

int running = 1;

while(running)

{

     myMainFunction();

     usleep(200000);

}

What I have read on blackfin.uclinux.org suggests that Blackfin General Purpose Timers are for kernel device driver usage only.
