I am developing a circuit to measure isolated 4-20mA input and 0-10V DC input. I found the ADE7912/ADE7913 device, which seems to solve all requirements in a single chip, but I am concerned about very high offset specifications.
During production, I can do an offset calibration at 23 C, and I can also estimate the temperature coefficient of the offset in the applicable temperature range (-30 C to 50 C) for each individual device. I can then use these coefficients in the microcontroller to make the compensation.
The question is, if I calibrate the offset and its temperature coefficient at production time, will it remain reasonably stable over long term and over temperature range, or is it necessary to make offset calibration before each measurement?
