My product's manufacturing engineer reports that the IDCODE returned by all four of the ADSP-21469 chips in the JTAG scan chain are returning a value that is different from the expected value from the BSDL file.


Example failure message from the JTAG tester is below. The data is the same for the other 3 SHARCs in the chain.

IDCODE for Device U4801 in tap 1 FAILED
   Expected data: 00010000000010100010000011001011
   Measured data: 00000000000010100000000011001011


Given that we've built over 200 of these boards with the same JTAG sequence, the failure is a surprise. Is the IDCODE shown in the measured data valid for an different version of the silicon than we had been getting? Which version?


I don't think it's a hardware issue since the IDCODEs for the other 7 devices in the JTAG chain were valid. I'm not sure where to look and would appreciate any suggestions.
