Briefly appearing 2.4 GHz peak - No-OS example - FMCOMMS2

I'm running the example for No-OS using the AD9361 (FMCOMMS2). The code builds and the bitstream for the HDL load correctly onto my Zedboard. I have enabled the DAC_DMA option but I find that when looking at the output of the device under a spectrum analyzer, I see a peak appear at 2.4 GHz for a brief instance. I am aware this is correct behaviour but I had assumed that the sine wave should be retained as the DMA is supposed to be cyclic?

Is this behaviour correct? Should the 2.4 GHz waveform persist? If so, please point me in the direction of why this might not be occuring on my device.
