I'm supporting obsolescene for an EOL flash chip (a Micron mt29f2g08abaeah4it ), and I've thus far found a drop-in replacement (Macronix MX30LF2G18AC-XKI ) that is identical in all aspects. These flash chips are used in a few devices that use the BlackFin BF54x family as the host processor.

Both chips are ONFI 1.0 compliant with their command suite, pinouts and logic/clock operations however the Micron chip has a few proprietary commands on top of the ONFI commands that the Macronix chip does not have.

Does the Blackfin NAND controller/drivers/software purely use ONFI commands?
