Can I extract the waveform data transmitted to computer, directly from the evaluation kit/board or through VisualAnalog software, that I can further process the data in other software? If so, how?
Thank you for your question. Yes, you can save time domain waveforms on your PC using VisualAnalog Software. Use the "Samples" canvas for the ADC you are using.
In the "Samples" canvas you will see one or more graph windows. In the upper left of each of the graphs there are several icons. The second one from the left is the Settings icon. Click on the Settings icon.
This will open another window with four tabs. The first tab is the "General" tab. In the "General" tab check the "Data Files - Save file(s) automatically on:" check box. Then go to the "Data Settings" tab.
In the "Data Settings" tab check the "Data File - Save to File:" check box.
Then using the "Browse..." button, navigate to the location on your PC where you want to store the files, and create a filename of your choice.
I also like to check the "Insert Date/Time in File Name" box.
Now, every time you click "Run" in the main VisualAnalog window, the waveform that appears in the graph will be saved in csv format.
Remember to uncheck the box in the "General" tab when you are done. If you do not uncheck this box, large files will be saved with every run, and you can inadvertently fill up your storage.
I hope your project goes well.
