I am receiving a 30MHz clock with a missing pulse. The missing pulse is used as a trigger in the system I am connected to. I need to use the 30MHz as a clock input to an FPGA. The missing pulse causes problems for PLL so I need to replace the pulse. Replacing the pulse in logic causes too much jitter. Therefore, I was thinking of using an LC tank circuit to resolve this issue. The LC tank will have to be installed in the clock input circuit in attachment. I believe 160 pF and 180 NH have a resonant frequency of 29.66 MHz.
I wanted to ask the clock and timing community if there was a better solution? Is there a chip component that will resolve the missing pulse?
