BIST tone to calibrate LO phase of two AD9361

I am using two ARRADIO Boards with AD9361. I want to use all four RX-channels.
I have done MCS successfully (no OS-library). To find out the phase difference
between the RX-LO's on the boards, I want to calibrate the system with a test signal,
generated from one TX-channel. I want to use the BIST-tone in TX mode to do that.
A few questions:

1.      To receive a signal while transmitting a BIST-tone I can use FDD-mode, correct?

2.      For MCS, do both devices have to use the same operating mode (both FDD or both TDD)?

3.      Is this the correct order to setup the devices?
First configure all the settings, then execute the ad9361_do_mcs function,
and after that set the BIST-tone and FDD-mode
