I am using blimp 3.9 SP2 with adv7627.
I will embed OSD into our products.
But, blimp's text uses windows fonts.
Do we need to pay a font license fee for Arial or Meiryo?
Hi, The fonts need to be licensed from their owners. Some fonts are free, some are not, the customer can use their own fonts in install them on Windows as well.
In windows OS we can support Arial or meiryo font, So dont want to pay font license fee for Arial or Meiryo.
Thank you for your reply.
I'm sorry my English is poor.
I understood that Blimp supports Windows OS fonts.
However, I think that it is generally prohibited to incorporate licensed font data into products (electronic device etc) without paying license fees.
So, I'm worried that incorporating source code containing licensed font data generated by Blimp into our product may be a violation of the license.
Perhaps the licensed font data is converted by Blimp, so is there no problem?
Thank you for your quick reply.
I understood, I will consider using free fonts.
