Hello everyone! This is my first post so excuse me when i am wrong but:

Which one of those op amps is adviseable as frontend to an adc (may be the ad7177-2)

i would like to build a strain gauge based scale and thus need a adc that gives 2000 S/s while the input is only 0 to 10mV or maximum of 0-18mV tops. The sensor is a wheastone bridge and gives 2mV/V exciation, so i would like to use 5V from the adc or 9v from the main power supply and filter that throught a passive network to get it somewhat noise free.

My idear would be to use the AD797 to amplify the voltage and then use the AD7177 to read the voltage, maybe that gives better performance than its internal "pga" which can amplifiy the input too.

Measureing the excitation (supply bridge) too would be the last task.

I will use an ST mcu or start with an arduino for testing pruposes

Anyone that has some experience with that and can help me with choosing the right op amp + adc combo?
