Adding driver for custom hardware to ADI Linux kernel/image

I am developing a system based on AD9361 using the fmcomms2 design as my base. I am using the linux kernel provided by ADI.

I have added some custom IPs to the HDL design and these IPs have their drivers (auto-generated by Xilinx SDK).

I need to use these drivers in my design. Either of the two possibilities below is fine.

  1. Adding it to the kernel tree itself, selecting it (=y) and compiling the uImage.
  2. Or, building the modules and then loading them separately.

How do I add these drivers?
