I have a question.
ECG connector to the equipment for protection,47 KΩ is built in.
In this situation,EXT_RESP connected,measurement possible?
Thanks for your question.
The ADAS1000 is designed to support respiration measurement in the presence of a cable protection resistor up to 5kohm, Table 12 (shown below) from the datasheet details the maximum allowable for the cable.
A cable with larger size protection resistor (or cap) as listed above will interfere with ability to make a valid respiration measurement.
Does user have ability to change the cable protection resistor size?
Thank you very much for your answer.
The change in the cable is difficult.
An amplified electric circuit, it's added, isn't there a countermeasure?
Could you instruct a proposed measure?
Respiration signal is a very small signal - a changing impedance in the sub-ohm range. Trying to measure this in the presence of such a patient cable impedance is a difficult challenge. I don't have a proposed circuit to support measurement with the ADAS1000 in the presence of a cable with that much impedance.
A higher voltage circuit would likely be the best approach...
