LT3042-Split Cap/Kelvin - Connections

  I am using the LT3042 for an ultra-clean 5V supply.  In working to get the best performance I have followed the Appnote for the Demo Board, DC2246B regarding the Split Cap design.


My question is whether Pad 1 which connects to the GND Side of Cset and Rset is 'DIRECTLY' attached to GND by what shows as a Via directly above the Pad OR if Pad 1 is just 'VIRTUALLY' (not sure of the precise/best wording) connected to GND since it is on the GND side of the output Cap C2?  


Another way to ask this question is "What is the Via above Pad 1 connected to?"


Being that it appears that Pad 3 and Pad 4 or only 'VIRTUALLY' connected I am assuming this is the case with Pad 1 and Pad 2 on the GND side of the Cap but this is the first time I have done a 'Kelvin' connected/split Cap design so I would like to ensure I understand this correctly before I submit a PCB for fabrication.
