We would like to monitor circuits which do not operate at 50 or 60Hz. Can the ADE7880 be used to monitor 25Hz or 30Hz signals? Is it possible to use a "half frequency" external crystal to trick the ADE7880 into thinking 30Hz is actually 60Hz?
The device has been characterized for fundamental line frequency inbetween 45Hz and 65Hz. However, you can use it to measure 25Hz and 30Hz without any modification on the external crystal but some functionalities mights not work. For example, fundamental powers/energies and harmonic engine measurements will not work well if the frequency is outside the 45-66Hz range.
Please keep the clock frequency inside the recommended range
