When you use an oscillator cell in SigmaStudio it goes directly out of the serial port. It has nothing to do with LRCLK,BCLK or SDATA . Those are functions of the serial ports not anything to do with an audio signal source inside of the DSP.
Are you talking about the MCLK (master clock) oscillator? There is no internal master clock oscillator. There is a circuit to allow you to use a crystal to be a master clock but it is not an oscillator without having a crystal connected.
IT might be helpful to show a block diagram of what you are trying to do? A schematic might be helpful as well. Then you should attach your SigmaStudio project and possibly a small explanation of what you are trying to do with the DSP.

You actually have the answer in your screenshots. On this part, the master clock must be synchronous with the incoming LRCLK and BCLK signals. So either you will have to setup a master clock source and distribution to both parts or you must obtain the master clock from the PCM2706. I do not know that part to know if the master clock output will start up early and not stop. It needs to come up shortly after power-up and not go away.

Yes, the ADAU1452 is more flexible because it has built in ASRCs. So you can use them to take in data from other clock domains and you do not have to be locked to the same master clock. The 1701 does not have this capability.
