Are there pull down resister on ST1, ST2 pin?
My customer verify Pin failure.
Thank you for the reminder! Based on what I have learned, the STx pins do not have pull up or pull down resistors on them, but they do have a comparator function, which has some hysteresis on it. Theoretically, it seems like the devices should function and not sustain damage, if the STx pins are left open, but there would be risk of noise causing changes in the on/off state. Best practice is certainly to hold these pins in a specific state. I hope that this helps.
Thank you for posting this question. What do you mean, by “pin failure?” What observation method and results is your customer using to make this determination? How much current are they observing, when they pull this pin high?
They want to know how ADXL354 working when ST1 and ST2 left open?
They have started feasibililty study for vibration correction on their system.(They already have EVAL board)
At first they ask the query to prevent ADXL354 will be damege.
I have replied my customer ST1 and ST2 state must be High or low otherwise ADXL354 does not work correctly.
Then they ask me above query in case left open these pins..
I've checked the datasheet, but there is not description ST1 and ST2 is either pull down or not.
My asumption is these pin pull down by high impedance.
