Hi
We have procured three AD9361 evaluation boards with the configuration: FMCOMMS3-EBZ + Zedboard. Need to synchronize the transmission and reception to verify some of our signal processing algorithms on this testbed.
Have gone through the wiki pages related to FMCOMMS3 (https://wiki.analog.com/resources/eval/user-guides/ad-fmcomms3-ebz). As for my limited understanding, I got to use the external reference clock to achieve this.

As for the wiki related to changing the external clock, I need to remove Y101, populate C113 (0.1uF Cap), and provide a low jitter clock source into J105 (SMA connector). I am quite new to RF/Hardware. Btw, what does it mean by removing the crystal (Y101)?  Can I pull out that part of the board? Seems, that is soldered! Can anyone pl. clarify this?

Thanks
Rao
