The AD620 is in a gain of 1 by default if you don't put a gain resistor between pins 1 and 8. A quick way to evaluate the performance of the AD620 is to ground pins 2 and 5, provide -12V to pin 4 and +12V to pin 7, and connect your function generator between pin 3 and ground. Then you can observe the output at pin 6. There is also an evaluation board available on the product page at http://www.analog.com/ad620/

Speaking generally, for a sharp band-pass filter, you will want a transfer function with a high Q, since the -3dB to -3dB bandwidth of a band-pass filter is defined as Fo/Q. Instrumentation amplifiers aren't usually used in external feedback configurations though, so I would consider using op amps for this. There are some great books and web tools available for active filter design that are very helpful.
