Does pin Vbus2 give +5V as output or take +5V as input?
Vbus2 is a 5V power input.
If you want to create a bus powered application, you will have to supply an additional isolated DC/DC converter. We have chip scale converters that will work in a limited way, such as the ADuM5000 and soon the ADuM5020 for lower EMI. However these have fairly low efficiency, and limited output current, so it does not comply with the USb spec for general use. If you have a dedicated application, it can be useful. Please refer to circuit notes CN0158, CN0159 and CN0160 on the ADI web site for ideas.
