The ADuCM350 eval board provides a jumper to connect AGND and DGND (LK10). In what cases should or should not this be connected?
It really depends on your application, if you can tolerate the noise coming from the Analog going to the digital line and vice versa.
I understand that shorting them would cause noise from either ground plane to cross over, but what would the reason to connect them be? Is there an advantage gained?
I don't know any advantage of shorting the grounds except you can run the board using a single supply.
