We want to use the AD9364 RF transceiver as a GPS receiver.
Right now we are using the AD-FMCOMMS4-EBZ, and as a starting point, we have successfully made it work with the SCOPE example. But in our target application, we have to (FPGA size restrictions) implement a fully FPGA GPS embedded design so there is no room to include your complete Linux/No-OS drivers and HDL IP-CORES.
We are going to use the AD9364 in a very basic way, just 4 "commands":
- TX switched off (no need to transmit at all)
- RX internal LO tunned to a single frequency 1575.42 MHz.
- Fixed sampling frequency 50MHz
- Automatic gain control enabled
So we would like to know which is the minimal set of registers to achieve the afore-mentioned 4 "commands". We know you have to program via SPI, and we do have an IP-CORE to program via SPI. Of at least some guidelines to "digest" the drivers source code. For example any kind of flowcharts, etc...
