My USB-SWD/UART-EMUZ debug probe's main chip heat up and does not respond to IAR Embedded Workbench. It stopped suddenly and I have no clue why, is it possible it just died? I bought it 1 year back.
It looks like the IO part of Jlink has been damaged. Since ADI don't sell USB-SWD/UART-EMUZ separately, you can buy another set of evaluation board or a standalone Segger Jlink.
Could you open Jlink-Commander(the software from segger) after connecting your debugger to PC. If the debugger works properly, you should see some message.
I get a similar response but with a different S/N. But the Segger chip heats up very badly and I cannot even touch the debugger.
That was helpful. Will the J-LINK EDU be good enough for this board? I am a student so I wouldn't want to spend much on the debugger.
J-Link EDA supports ADuCM350, you can use it. The connector is not same as USB-SWD/UART-EMUZ from ADI, you need seral wires to connect them.
