DOA MUSIC algorithm -  4X4 MIMO

Hi,

 

I am currently evaluating the performance of a MUSIC algorithm for DOA.

The code was written and simulated.

The reference is based on USRP X310, and can be seen at[1].

For proper performance, 4 RX synchronized inputs are to be used.

Each AD9361 is 2X2MIMO.

As a result, synchronization between two AD9361 is needed.

In the reference design, the calibration is done manually and is to be done again after each frequency switch, which is inevitable for the application in hand.

As a result, the USRP X310 can not be used.

After further research, the SDR kit based on the following was found:

  • .   Xilinx Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC ZC706 Evaluation Kit

or

      Xilinx Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC ZC702 Evaluation Kit

  •     AD-FMCOMMS5-EBZ – Two 2X2 on the same board.

The one time synchronization of the two AD9361s  seems to be possible[2][3][4].

However, following an email correspondence with Matlab support, seems that AD-FMCOMMS5-EBZ is not supported by Mathworks(AD-FMCOMMS2/3/4-EBZ are supported).

Would be grateful to have an advice as to how the 4X4 synchronized SDR can be assembled, and preferably programmed using Matlab(and not GNU radio).
