I try to debug with CCES 2.7.0 on the ADICUP360 - but I cannot suspend/pause execution - just able to stop at a break-point, but no suspend/pause or reset is working. What I'm doing wrong and need to be fixed in my setup?
I did find another solution in the meanwhile and finished my project.
I have published a quick How-to for it.
Please, can somebody give a feedback?
This sounds like a tools question if you ask me. I think this needs to be moved over to the CrossCore EngineerZone forum. (I'll take care of this)
Someone over there should be able to answer the question.
Thanks Brandon, hope I get soon an answer....
Hi, We recommend you to refer the below user guide on how to debug an ADuCM360 project designed for an EVAL-ADuCM360 Evaluation Board.https://wiki.analog.com/resources/eval/user-guides/eval-adicup360/tools/cces_user_guide
Can you please let us know if you are facing this issue in all projects or with specific project. Can you please try with our example project available in the below path.<installation path>:\Analog Devices\CrossCore Embedded Studio 2.7.0\ARM\packs\AnalogDevices\ADuCM36x_DFP\1.0.2\Examples\
If still problem occurs, please try open the CCES in new workspace and create the project from the scratch and let us know how you get on.
If you are still facing issues, can you please share us your project along with steps to reproduce.
Please accept our apologies for the delay in resolving your issue.

To clarify - you can load and run your program, and when debugging it'll stop at main(). However, if you run your program, then you're unable to click suspend/pause and reset is not working.
Are you able to provide a little more detail about your program/set-up? Is this with one of our examples from GitHub or part of the CMSIS pack or is this an out of the box project? If it's an out of the box project, have you added the Startup CMSIS component to your project?
We'll monitor your reply and follow up as quickly as we can. Thanks!
We are having this same exact problem. When debugging with CCES 2.7, the tools won't stop or pause to allow you to see where you are in the program. We are currently trying to debug ADuCM360_demo_cn0338 project found here (EVAL-ADICUP360/projects/ADuCM360_demo_cn0338 at master · analogdevicesinc/EVAL-ADICUP360 · GitHub ) on the ADICUP360 with the CN0338 hardware attached. We have both the ADuCM36x DFP and the ARM CMSIS pack installed.
Looking forwards to a speedy response.
Thanks for sharing. We're looking into the cause of the pause/stop issue. I understand that it did work with a previous set of tools. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Sadly it appears that the issue is with the C/C++ Development Tooling (CDT) Eclipse plugins that CrossCore Embedded Studio 2.7.0 uses: 509788 – Cannot pause/stop session of "C/C++ GDB Hardware Debugging"
CCES 2.8.0 is due to be released within the next week or two. CCES 2.8.0 uses Eclipse Oxygen (4.7) and CDT 9.3 which, so far during testing, appears to not suffer from the suspend/pause issue.
Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
