Delay Setting for the ADF4159 on the EV-RADAR-MMIC2

Question asked by AminRon on Feb 6, 2018

In the 'Delays' section of the 'ADF4159 Controls' panel of the software for programming EV-RADAR-MMIC2 evaluation board, we are trying to make ADF4159 produce the first ramp after being programmed with some delay. But we choose the amount of delay as 1 or 2 second so that it can be noticeable. We used 'Delay (us)' and 'Delay start' segments but none of them has any noticeable effect on the moment of starting the ramp generation.

Is there any limitation for the amount of delay? Can it be set to for example 10 seconds?

Knowing the moment of start of the ramp generation is very critical for us in terms of synchronizing the ADC during the sampling process of the down-converted signal from ADF5904.
