I have a question about ADV7842 CVBS Input.
Can ADV7842 display the dark blacklevel which is under 7.5 IRE (NTSC-J) ?
If it is possible, would you tell me the register settings?
Do you have one of our evaluation board for ADV7842?
How do you configure the board either through script or through software driver?
Can ADV7842 display the dark blacklevel which is under 7.5 IRE (NTSC-J) ?Ans: And also you have to set CP core color controls register like CP_CONTRAST[7:0],CP_SATURATION[7:0],CP_BRIGHTNESS[7:0],CP_HUE[7:0] to minimum value ,then you can able to display the dark black level. Please refer section 9.5 Color Controls in ADV7842 HW manual. Before that ,we must enable the Video Adjustment register, this control selects whether or not the color controls feature is enabled (VID_ADJ_EN Addr 44 (CP), Addr 0x3E ).
Thank you for the response.I tried to set these registers; nonetheless, the situation was not changed. However, I found that the setting of SDP_BRIGHTNESS[7:0] enable ADV7842 to display the dark blacklevel.
Yes you are correct for NTSC input.
For analog standard, this SDP core registers will be effective for color control features.
If it is digital standard, then we need to configure the CP core registers.
